Nick is a 25 year veteran of the construction business. He has an extensive excavation background. Nick is verse in every facet of the building process. His strength lies in the ability to visualize a project from start to finish to bring forward the best possible results for his clients. His exceptional attention to detail stems from his lifetime of building ground up homes.
Mark Newman
Architectural Designer/Engineer
Mark had great pleasure working as a Structural Engineer for 15 years in the Vail Valley. As an intricate part of the Saltbox team, Mark brings new architectural concepts to the fore front while maintaining a timeless mountain feel. He has thrived on deriving structural creative solutions to complex architectural builds.
Leen Abu Saif
Interior Designer
Leen holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design where she developed a strong foundation in design principles and technical CAD drafting skills. With her experience in commercial & residential design, she has cultivated expertise in creating beautiful, detailed and functional interiors. Leen excels at translating our clients’ visions into thoughtful, well-executed designs by developing the design details and drafting 3D renderings for our clients to visualize their spaces.
Jordan Leets
Operations Manager
Born and raised in New England, Jordan Leets moved to Colorado to pursue his education—and to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer. Steamboat Springs quickly became home, thanks to its tight-knit community and outdoor lifestyle, making it a place he never wanted to leave (and one he’s always happy to return to).
As Operations Manager at Saltbox Custom Homes, Jordan runs the show behind the scenes, handling day-to-day operations, administrative tasks, and team coordination. Known for his focus and problem-solving, he keeps projects on track and ensures everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
Outside of work, Jordan takes full advantage of mountain life. Whether snowboarding, hiking, biking, playing team sports, or hitting the local pickleball courts, he’s always up for a challenge and enjoys staying active.
Christian De Loera
Lead Foreman
Christian has an exceptional “can do” attitude. His 10+ years of framing includes modular home installation, custom stairs, stick framed roofs, drywall installation, hardwood floor installation, cabinet installation, siding installation, and exterior/interior trim. Christian has experience with big and small excavation work along with foundation preparation. He is our lead foreman and brings a smile to every job site.
